Went to school with Babette. She and her contemporary, Adm. Michelle Howard who I also knew, epitomize mediocrity at a time when women were new to the service academies. I'm uncertain a more craven, unqualified and nakedly ambitious crew could be found in the military which makes them hardly worthy of support than the strivers of Navy special warfare who manage to come off in this debacle even more sociopathic than usual.
Craven hardly seems the word for a whistleblower. And I doubt that an ambitious officer in a bureaucracy, especially a military one, would take on its most visible and highly praised unit.
