We Are So Fornicated…

New York Times columnist Charles M. Blow writes:

…Since 1996, the percentage of Americans who said that they have been in the presence of a ghost has doubled from 9 percent to 18 percent, and the percentage who said that they were in touch with someone who was dead has increased by nearly two thirds, rising from 18 percent to 29 percent.

For those keeping political score, Democrats were almost twice as likely to believe in ghosts and to consult fortune-tellers than were Republicans, and the Democrats were 71 percent more likely to believe that they were in touch with the dead…

I see the ghost of Ronald Reagan all the time. His handiwork is revealed everytime I look at the slowly dying and the dead small towns and unions and the middle class all across America. His ghost haunts America even today.

Perhaps we Democrats can just see metaphors more easily than others.

Let's not even go into the horror stories about the spooks who still bother millions constantly. Many Democrats know all about their shenanigans. Tony Po comes to mind.

I call bullshit on this and leave the door wide open for being called a hypocrite with this.

In the late 70's there are no ifs ands or buts about it - plus I don't lie a something or other interacted with me while living in West Africa. Don't think he liked white boys or something.
