Who Would Jesus Kill?

Read the whole story at The Wichita Eagle:

George Tiller, the Wichita doctor who became a national lightning rod in the debate over abortion, was shot to death this morning inside the lobby of his Wichita church…

It's obvious that there's still something the matter with Kansas. I would hope that this would wake up the abortion opponents to what their shrill and strident message sends to so many screwed up people. Perhaps they are truly a hopeless case and nothing will stop them from continuing to advocate the murder of living, breathing human beings.

If you wanted to get religious about this subject to prove that their cause is unjust, the book of Genesis says Adam only became a human being when God breathed life into him. And so it is with human beings. But what the heck do I know, I'm just an agnostic.

I'm an atheist, I grew up here in the South surrounded by born again Christians and subjected to "the crazy shit" like most everybody else. It has taken me a long time to "recover". I do not understand how these people can get away with promoting hate crimes and murder by exhorting others to do their dirty work. I thought we had long ago come to grips with the crime of shouting fire in a crowded theater vs "free speech".

I still have relationships with some of these people, but I can't call them friends, anymore. I just can't be "friends" with people who promote torture, killing, etc., under the banner of Christianity nor do I appreciate their putting George Bush on us. I understand they would just as likely kill me too for disagreeing with them. Papa George Bush went so far as to call us non-citizens. I want to see these bastards held accountable so bad I can taste it.
