Wild flowers have been out for a while and the columbines will be here soon.

Yes, it is. My tree peonies bloomed a couple of weeks ago, and are now finished. Columbines even longer ago, but still hanging on. This spring sucks. Apparently this year we're going directly from early spring to fall, with no intervening summer. I blame it on global warming.

If it's an inchworm, he's not doing his job. He's supposed to be measuring the marigolds, not the peonies. Or so I once heard when I was a child.

Don't know what it is, but it's not an inchworm. It didn't inch, and the inch worms around here are much thinner, and green.
