I Resemble That
Speaking as a member of the demographic cohort of which Vanity Fair’s Michael Wolff is speaking here, may I say before I stroke out that there’s no fool like an old fool?
The dirty little secret of conservative talk radio is that the average age of listeners is 67 and rising, according to Sinton — the Fox News audience, likewise, is in its mid-60s: “What sort of continuing power do you have as your audience strokes out?”

1) "The dirty little secret of conservative talk radio is that the average age of listeners is 67 and rising, according to Sinton—the Fox News audience, likewise, is in its mid-60s: . . ."
I don't know where Sinton gets his numbers but I think they are bogus. It is not my personal experience that most wingnuts average 67 years of age - though I wish it were so.
2) At 66 years old, thus qualifying as "old," I "resemble" the statement: "there’s no fool like an old fool." I'm aware of many more "young" fools than otherwise. Though I admit I may be mixing ignorance with foolishness . . .
In any event, fuck Limburger and all in his house.
His shirtmaker must just crap every time he calls in and says "add an extra inch on the neck." Soon he won't be calling. That is a stroke walking around.
I was in company formation in the military when our new first sergeant went on a Limbaugh style rant. Other people just walked off until I was the senior man left standing. The new first shirt came over and screamed in my face, something like, "xxxx, why are you still here and all of your buddies walked off."
Told him the truth, "I decide whether you die of a heart attack or stroke, then the bets get settled."
I've got about five hundred out on bets that Limbaugh has a heart attack before the end of this year, and another four or five that he has a stroke. Lost a couple of hundred last year. As long as I double down each year, I will at least break even.
Just look at that picture and think positively, "Die, you overfed hog, die."
Makes Limbaugh a slight bit more tolerable.
