Here in the rural heartland of America sex outside of marriage usually involves animals, and so of course I had no idea what Rachel Maddow and especially Ana Marie Cox were talking about in the clip below. Once I googled “teabagging” I realized that the Republicans must have had no idea either. Or maybe that’s what a Grand Old Party is. I would hate to think that, though. I can’t believe I even wrote it.
There's a lot more that _can_ be said about the teabagging movement, and something to be said in favor of it, but clearly it's still too much of a mouthful for most news outlets. Fox News has made a brave effort, as expected, but even Glenn Beck may find that's he's bitten off more than he can chew.
Posted by: Jim on April 11, 2009 11:42 AMThere's something in this for those with an interest in developmental psychology too.
The movement has progressed from retentive to expulsive and now, finally, into a curious and playful stage. It has taken decades for them to get this far and the road ahead is filled with complex issues, but the signs of development are clear.

I am at least in the know enough to realize that Wikipedia is reliable for things like sexual practices, and questions about comic-book continuity. (Just how many Green Lanterns are there, anyway???)
Well, the GOP has always had their little code words...
Posted by: Roddy McCorley on April 11, 2009 1:49 PMTeabags are to the Republican Party as pillows are to an all-girl slumber party; they don't make much noise and they cause little damage.
Posted by: Phil on April 11, 2009 4:10 PMI bet GOP Senator Larry (Wide Stance) Craig could fill in his Republican brethren.
Tea for two, anyone.
perhaps the teabaggers will adopt this as their anthem?
