They were readily available in pound bags and modestly priced in supermarkets when I lived in Philadelphia, but not here and now. So I'm wondering whether Philly is the U.S. hotbed of hazelnut appetite or there were some high-yield years back then.

Come to think of it, in Philly I even lived on Hazel Avenue.
