Palin Spokesman says it’s a Witch Hunt — Just Like Ken Starr

Quoted in the Anchorage Daily News, the lawyer for Sarah Palin comments regarding the Alaska troopergate controversy and the investigation that was launched by a bipartisan committee of the Alaska legislature. Van Flein is quoted concerning whether Sarah Palin is being treated fairly by the State Legislature:

“Our concern is that Hollis French turns into Ken Starr and uses public money to pursue a political vendetta rather than truly pursue an honest inquiry into an alleged ethics issue,” Van Flein said in an interview.

That’s right folk, we finally have it straight from the Republican Horse’s Mouth, someone from the right formally admitting that the Ken Starr investigation, which wasted millions of taxpayer dollars, was nothing but a political witch hunt.

This Palin troopergate story just keeps getting better and better.

Beautiful catch.

Now, now. If we continue calling it a "witch hunt" that'll just be further proof of our baseless sexist attacks on Palin, y'know.

He says that like it's a bad thing...

This is similar to the right using the verb "Swiftboating" to mean dirty political smear job.

What do you mean, "Republican Horse's Mouth?"

It's really the other end.

But at least the spokesbot is being honest about the Starr Fiasco.

Why did Sarah Palin lie before 10,000 people and the entire world last Friday about the Bridge to Nowhere and her love of earmarks? If she is lying on the first day of her rollout to the American people, why should we ever trust anything this lady says? She sounds like Dick Cheney Part II! Does this new breed of Republicans ever tell the truth?

So, she's comparing herself with Bill Clinton?

Trailer Park Republicans, ya just gotta love 'em.

In other words, instead of the Palin's being at the Republican National Convention, shouldn't they be appearing on the Jerry Springer show?

Note: I remember when the Republicans were calling Bill Clinton the hick from Arkansas.

Hey bub. How about quit making fun of people who live in trailer parks. I've got lots of friends who are Democrats who live in trailer parks. Cut out the snob stuff. The only complaint I've got about trailers, or mobile homes if you will, is the crookedness of a great many of the people who sell them and the government officials that buy them for people to live in.

That includes you Warren Buffet, for buying into a company that makes them, even though you are on the Obama team. And Warren, if you'll force them to be improved to standard construction so that they'll appreciate in value and not depreciate, I'll lay off of you.
