Seymour Hersh says:

There was a dozen ideas proffered about how to trigger a war. The one that interested me the most was why don’t we build — we in our shipyard — build four or five boats that look like Iranian PT boats. Put Navy seals on them with a lot of arms. And next time one of our boats goes to the Straits of Hormuz, start a shoot-up. Might cost some lives.

And it was rejected because you can’t have Americans killing Americans. That’s the kind of — that’s the level of stuff we’re talking about. Provocation. But that was rejected.

So I can understand the argument for not writing something that was rejected — uh maybe. My attitude always towards editors is they’re mice training to be rats.

And there is deep suspicion about the alleged anthrax killer's"suicide". The Washing Post article on this subject, which is about as dull as old dishwater, elicited hundred of comments so far, and about 90% or more of the comments seem to believe there is/was a government conspiracy involved in the sending of the anthrax and the death of the scientist, who supposedly died of Tylenol with Codeine. In Canada they sell a mild version of it over the counter with no prescription. I don't think many people die of codeine overdoses and I doubt that a scientist would kill himself by an intentional overdose of Tylenol, a slow, painful agonizing death.

and see Glenn Greenwald's analysis, in which he alleges that certain journalists were advised to take Cipro before the anthrax "attacks" and brings together a lot of the media manipulation that infected the American people with the belief that the anthrax used was of a type that only Saddam had.

The Bush administration will keep the book writers in business for years and there will be more books on the corruption in this administration than were written about the Kennedy Assassination. The real problem is getting the diseased implants out of our government. These guys are ten times more dangerous than the Commies ever were.
