Deconstructing Slime

The Obama campaign seems to have learned a thing or two from John Kerry’s passivity when a slimeball named Jerome Corsi swiftboated him in a lie-filled book.

Here’s the campaign’s prompt 41-page response (pdf file) to Corsi’s attempt to do the same thing to Barack HUSSEIN Obama.

The great difference between Barack Hussein Obama and John Forbes Kerry is not skin color, and it's certainly not policy positions. As Homer says to Marge in the psychedelic chili pepper episode (3F24, "The Mysterious Voyage of Our Homer"), "Our differences are only skin deep, but our sames go right down to the bone!"

The big difference is in raw political talent. At the retail level, Obama has Clinton's charm but not his shallowness. At the wholesale level, Axelrod et.al. have survived Chicago politics, and they've learned from a generation of Rovian tricks. Plus, they've got shitloads of money, and they're way ahead on the whole internets thing.
