I think he's merely coasting. It's easier to put on the pin than to risk aand immediately break the stereotypes emanating from the WV electorate (it makes 'em question all the other rumors about Obama). Playing conservative with an insurmountable lead is like a QB running out the clock with a ground game.

Though he's handled it adroitly previously, it's pretty small potatoes to risk any loss of votes on.

If he sells out on the war, healthcare or expresses desire for Britney Spears, that would be disappointing. A piece of cosmetic jewelry? Not so much.

I disagree with Kevin. Obama is starting to show his true character. My prediction is we'll see more once he got the nomination, and it'll be too late. And I hope once the Obama bubble bursts, the people who were inspired by his message will still go to the poll. We cannot afford to have president McInsane running the country.
