Actally Joe is right. My dictionary shows this for feisty --- ORIGIN late 19th cent.: from earlier feist, fist [small dog,] from fisting cur or hound, a derogatory term for a lapdog, from Middle English fist [break wind.]

As a CT resident, I can't believe that he's my Senator. So we have to watch this jerk strut around for the next six years. He feels like he's transcended regular politics.
