Godsblog

I just discovered Blog of the Gods, which I instantly added to our blogroll and from which I stole this:

I WIN OSCAR FOR BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS

Moments after being called to the stage to pick up the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress, Dreamgirls co-star Jennifer Hudson corrected the Academy’s mistake, placing credit squarely where it’s deserved: with Me! Almost the first words out of her mouth were, “Look what God can do.”

I’m sure that’s what the nominees who lost were thinking, too.

Later in her speech, Hudson repeated her thanks, “I thank the Academy… Definitely have to thank God, I guess, again.”

You guess? I suppose I’ll let that slide, since most of the other winners entirely forgot to cede credit to Me. In fact, that’s why you won. I don’t love any of the other supporting actresses at all. They suck, especially the little girl from Little Miss Sunshine …

God created us all with free will, as this silly blogger would know if he or she ever bothered to read actual theology. That includes the Academy which exercised the free will that God gifted it with.

Can you ask him when he's going to revise Leviticus?

What does God think about Alan Arkin, the foul-mouthed old lush grandfather in Little Miss Sunshine. He got the best supporting actor award, so presumably He/She gave it to him. Can anyone say Mixed Messages? Get a grip, God.

Leviticus is only applicable to Jewish priests. If you aren't a Jewish priest, it doesn't apply. There, happy now? :)

Not according to Wikipedia, which says some of it applies to the priesthood and some is general. In any event, your argument is only of theoretical interest. Supposing the priests were told by Leviticus/God that the penalty for unfaithful wives was stoning to death, and the priest passed the word along to their flock. The adulteress would be just as dead.
