As we all know, the war in Iraq is not going well. These days, even some on the Right are coming to believe that Iraq is irretrievable.
And the war in Afghanistan isn’t doing too well, either. Even Bill Frist says we can’t win militarily over there, so maybe it’s time to negotiate with the Taliban.
Is it possible that George W. Bush will become the first president in United States history to not only start two wars, but to also lose two wars?
Hell, if Rummy and Cheney get their way and we attack Iran, maybe Shrub can pull off a trifecta of starting and losing three wars. I doubt history will look upon Bush losing two or three wars as “just a comma.”
Cmon, Moe, be fair. Look at all the wars he won: on the middle class, on the working man, on the Constitution, on civil liberties, on minorities,on the Kyoto treaty, on women, on gays. Christ, look at New Orleans. New Orleans fell without a shot.
