Failure to communicate can be an art. Examples cast a tiny light on our countrymen, and their refusal to think. This one I found top notch:
“BMW — Where no ideas are harmed in the making of our cars.”
Imagine, if you will, an ad writer laboring to come up with a slogan and then, in a burst of understanding, writing the above. Think about the grown ups sitting around an oval table taking it all Oh so seriously.
If it sells cars, they'll call it genius.
Posted by: Buck on September 19, 2006 1:09 PMIt just proves that we mustn't take seriously any people who believe they are important and who can't laugh at themselves. Why do they always seem to run things? Why are others so afraid of them? [Probably because they're dangerous and emit pheromones of ruthlessness...]
More importantly, though: Eureka! I am on old fan, Jerome - I even have your autograph in a paperback of "Deadlock", bought in Lee, MA in 1993. I've lost track of your writing since "Kill Story", due to upheaval and distraction. When I looked for more recent work I couldn't afford them at the time and now I've even forgotten what they are.
I haven't forgotten you, however, and it is such a treat to read your brain again. You can be sure I will be visiting this site often.

Thanks, and welcome aboard.
