Pretty little guy! BTW, I did a bit of toad blogging back awhile...but the spadefoot beastie
certainly wasn't as pretty!

Frogs and toads need all the support they can get, so thank you, Julie. I've noticed a certain coolness in audience reaction to my recent frogblogging. Just as well, I guess, as I've run out of frog pictures. What next? Flogblogging? Clogblogging?

I've been thinking of doing more dead rat blogging, but perhaps some good cooked goose blogging would do more to inspire us to get out and vote this November.

So if nobody else is going to ask, what sort of frog is it?

I'll try to get a picture of any frog I come across---or toad, in that I have trouble telling the difference---but I don't live next to the woman who used to come screaming and pounding on my door: "Help! There's a toad in my storage shed" anymore.

It's a wood frog, Rana silvatica. The fingers belong to a Homo sapiens whose common name is Peter Warny.
