Welcome Back Karl

Karl may or may not be out of legal jeopardy, but Frank Rich is unhappy with him, and Larry Johnson makes Avedon wonder if he went over the top.

No Quarter, indeed! Nothing Rove hasn't exceeded, and often, but I prefer Murtha's display of fury in various venues as a response.

All the commentators have missed the most important part of Bush's Bagdad trip, in my opinion. Bush gathered a large group of "best minds" at Camp David to explore better ways of handling Iraq. Sucker that I am, I had hopes. Instead, it was a cover for yet another photo op.

That photo op, with its attendant "we're gonna clean up Bagdad with a massive show of force" better way, could have been a successful stunt, but the Iraqi opposition wouldn't cooperate and stuck their collective thumb in his eye.

So now would the best minds please go back to Camp David and explore more better ways of handling Iraq?
