Normally we’d reciprocate and call him our esteemed colleague at King of Zembla, but I’ve got to admit that I’m pissed as hell that Simbaud at King of Zembla announced the return of Joe Bageant three days ago on his blog but didn’t alert us here at Bad Attitudes. Hell, Joe is part of the family and we mean it. At any rate, I guess I should kick myself in the ass for not going to Simbaud’s website every day but it feels a hell of a lot better to just get pissed off at Simbaud for not letting us know.
At any rate, fatten the calf, the wayward Brother Joe is back home, this time with a website of his own. I’m alerting the master of ceremonies so we can get Joe added to the blogroll.
Welcome back brother Joe.

One word: RSS!
If you use RSS, you know immediately (or at least within five minutes or so) when your favorite blogs have been updated.
If you're using the Opera browser, all you have to do is turn on RSS checking. Opera checks your email and your RSS feeds at the same time, and announces new mail and new blog postings in the same panel. If you have new mail, "Received" is bolded; if there are new blog postings, the names of the updated blogs are bolded.
Thus, although I rarely actually visit many of my favorite blogs, I read every new post almost as soon as it's put up.
RSS rules!
If readers are puzzled by RSS, I could put together a brief intro. It's really easy; after all, RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication.

Up with redneck liberals, talk about folks that are honest and thus were politically incorrect before anyone thought it was fashionable. And who else but a redneck liberal could be tolerant enough to be around Mary Matalin all day( poor James).
I like RSS too, but sometimes its just more fun to visit the site. And some folks only syndicate their headlines. I generally hate java, too many bad java bugs out there, but I started using Blogbridge recently, which runs on java and I'm impressed.
