Canary In The Slime Mine

The big blogs will have this, but just in case you missed it, this is an important development:

A federal judge has resigned from the court that oversees government surveillance in intelligence cases in protest of President Bush's secret authorization of a domestic spying program, according to two sources.

Now, this man did not resign his underlying post as a federal judge, but still significant that a sitting federal judge could not stomach being involved with this slime.

Well, yeah, I mean, if they're just gonna order the wiretaps anyway, what's the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court? Chopped liver?

In today's Daily Hampshire Gazette of Northampton, MA, Prof. Christopher Pyle of Hampshire College is noting that Mr. Bush has just become "the first president in history to admit to a felony."
